Launched today at South Dublin Libraries by Mayor Fintan Warfield, SeeSearch is a new online search and discovery tool that enables library customers to search and find everything in the library – from ebooks to enclopaedia articles, audio books to items in local history archives – all from their computer. SeeSearch was designed by Dr. Hilary Kenna, a lecturer in design at Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology who started research on the idea over two years ago with funding from Enterprise Ireland’s commercialisation fund. In October 2013, Dr. Kenna formed a startup company called Vizolve Ltd., with David Garvan, lead developer of SeeSearch to commercially develop and sell the product and since then, have secured investment from Telefonica’s accelerator programme Wayra.
