The Mayor of South Dublin County Council and Sinn Féin Councillor for Templeogue-Terenure, Fintan Warfield has today opened two books of condolence following recent attacks in Nigeria and Paris.

Speaking following the signing of the two books, Mayor Warfield said;

“I encourage members of the public and particularly residents of South Dublin County to visit County Hall in Tallaght to express condolences with the families of victims in both Nigeria and Paris.

“I condemn the attack in Paris, extend condolences to the victims’ families, while rejecting Islamophobia, calling for unity against racism.

“I equally condemn recent attacks in Nigeria.

“I wish to extend condolences to the civilian population suffering an ongoing onslaught there and express solidarity with the Nigerian population resident in South Dublin and across the island.”
